Informational Opportunities

It is important that students discuss this opportunity with their parents and school counselors. Each school division will host a GSSV Recruitment meeting for prospective students and their parents between November and January. Please contact your school for the specific day/time. Each site will hold a “GSSV Shadowing” day in November for interested students. This allows students the opportunity to travel to campus, participate in classes, and experience a GSSV day.

Application Process

Admission to GSSV is based on a competitive selection process. School counselors will provide an application for admission and two teacher recommendation forms after initial screening to ensure the eligibility criteria has been met. Every high school determines specific dates for GSSV testing and will notify students of those dates.

Please review the criteria for eligibility.

Final screening will be conducted by a panel, with representatives from each participating school division. Students will be ranked and the list submitted to the school division for final selection of participants. Once received from the division, final decision letters will be sent to individual students by the GSSV office.
